Pottermania

The movie Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix just released and is a blockbusters around the world. The last and final book (7th) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is comin this weekend.

Well I have been a HP fan from the first movie and read the book only after that. Yup JK Rowling's written a cool book and each book has been better than the other. With each one the excitement has grown and its sad that the 7th is the last book :-(.

Well with all the excitement and the enthu I went in for the movie HP and Order of the Phoenix this weekend and was a lil dissapointed. Donno if I expected a lil to much or was it that it dint live up to the last few movies.

The movie opens out well where in Harry saves his cousin from the Dementors and is taken to the Order of the Phoenix a safe place until the school opens. Well to be truthful... there has been a lot of editing there anyone whoz not read the book wud be lost.

Anyway it proceeds to the Hogwards school where there Prof Umbridge is introduced. Again she's done a good job ;-) but from there on the story moves on. There is no suspense, no thrill, no dramatic scenes or any kind of anxious moment until the climax of the movie.

The book on the other hand or rather the previous 4 movies too had some dramatic situations like the quiddich match or some mystery or some kind of suspicious activity that would keep us looking. But this movie was made like just a story and paves the way for the next book. I compare this movie to the Da Vinci Code where the movie was just the story but lacked the soul of the book. Again this is my viewpoint.. the audience seem to be lovin it!
